Dignity Statue

For a couple of years, I had been wanting to see the Dignity Statue.  I finally made it to Chamberlain.  It was memorizing when the sun hit the diamonds on her blanket it looked like stained glass.  She just lit up.  The pictures do not even compare to seeing the Dignity statue in person.  If you are driving in the area, stop by and check it out.  The views of the river are incredible also.

“Dignity represents the courage, perseverance and wisdom of the Lakota and Dakota culture in South Dakota,” Lamphere said. “My hope is that the sculpture might serve as a symbol of respect and promise for the future.”
