Gnome Craft Pub
The Happy Gnome has been on the 150 Places to have a beer at before you die list for years. The Happy Gnome was in business for 14 years and new owners recently took over and changed the name to the Gnome Craft Pub. The menu changed, but other than that, it still had the neighborhood bar feel. Everyone was so friendly and if we did not have other places to check out, I could have stayed all day and visited with our new friends. By the time we left it was like we knew the people there for years.
The building originally opened in 1882 as a firehouse. The new owners will have a community giveback event monthly. Their first give back event will be related to firefighters.
Currently, they have 55 beers on tap. Most of them are craft beers. We did not eat at Gnome Craft Pub but heard great things about the food from the patrons sitting around us.
We will be going back to check out the food for ourselves and will get pics of the outdoor patio. They have a huge stone fireplace on the deck. When they built the deck, they did not cut down the trees but built the deck around them. The deck is a relaxing space and the perfect place in the summer to enjoy an ice-cold craft beer or one of their specialty cocktails.
