George Floyd Memorial

I do not want this portion to be political, because I am not posting this for any political reason.

The memorial brought up so many emotions for me. It was a time when the world came together to try and make a positive change. It was also a destructive time in our city. It was a time when neighbors who have never talked to one another went out and helped clean up their neighborhoods together. People really showed they cared about their community by helping with food and necessity drives/distributions. Still to this day, it is a small community trying to pick up the pieces of their lives, putting their homes and neighborhoods back together. At the memorial, I witnessed strangers hugging each other and talking/showing empathy for one another. After all the chaos that happened it brought a sense of calm, peace, and a feeling that things are going to be alright.

Continue spreading kindness, empathy, love, and peace wherever you go.
