Mardi Gras World

The chapel is almost a 100 old functioning Catholic Archdiocese of Denver.  The chapel’s official name is St. The museum is full of costumes and float decorations.  It gives you an insight on the history of the Mardi Gras parade.  The oldest costume is from the 40’s.  Each costume is so beautiful and extravagant.  The guided tour covers the history of the carnival.  Mardi Gras started in the early 1800’s and was pulled by horse drawn carriages.

Plan on spending at least an hour.  Take the whole family.  Kids were really enjoying themselves and had fun taking their pictures with the float decorations. You will walk around in awe.

Don’t rush through and take in the history.  At the end of the tour enjoy a piece of Kings cake.
