Red Rock Amphitheatre

I had no idea what to expect from Red Rocks.  This place is amazing.  We did not attend a concert but the museum and walking around the amphitheater made this trip worthwhile.  Fall in love with Red Rocks! Red Rocks is also a park, owned by the city of Denver. It's open to visitors one hour before sunrise through one hour after sunset. Just being here will quicken your pulse, but if that's not enough, consider hiking Trading Post Trail or hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding Red Rocks Trail. Explore the park's hiking, biking, film, dining, and history.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre officially opened to the public on June 15, 1941. It has since become an iconic American concert venue, hosting such world-famous musicians as The Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Stevie Nicks, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, U2, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, John Denver, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, and Mumford & Sons have all graced the stage.  The Beatles made a stop on their first American tour in 1964.

Ship Rock and Creation Rock are about as tall as Big Ben, and taller than Niagara Falls. The warm red sandstone, the views for miles, the gorgeous open skies—is unlike any other concert experience.
