Ring of Kerry
Written By Shawn Carlson
The Ring of Kerry really has it all. Beautiful scenery, lakes, sheep being herded down the road and rock cliffs. It is majestic. You will drive through some small towns and charming fishing villages if you can make time to get out and explore them.
The Ring of Kerry is about 120 miles and is a circular tourist route. I would recommend that you leave early and travel the opposite direction of the tour buses. Drive carefully, as the roads are narrow and there are rock cliffs that are right against the road.
My only regret is that we did not have more time to spend exploring the area. It would have been nice to take in some of the hikes.
I truly enjoyed my time driving around the Ring of Kerry and taking in the sites.
